Upholstery
Upholstered furniture absorbs years of everyday life — spills, dust, pet hair, and the general odour that builds up gradually enough that a household stops noticing it. We treat fabric and leather differently, because what cleans one well can damage the other.

Deep extraction injects hot water and cleaning agent into the fabric under pressure, then immediately extracts it back out along with the dirt it's lifted — the difference between this and a surface wipe-down is that extraction reaches into the fibre itself rather than cleaning only what's on top. This is what actually removes embedded dust and ground-in staining rather than just refreshing the surface appearance.
Fabric upholstery gets the full extraction process described above. Leather is treated completely differently — a harsh extraction process would strip natural oils and dry out leather, leading to cracking over time. Instead we use pH-balanced leather cleaners followed by a conditioning treatment that keeps it supple and prevents the surface drying out.
Sofas, armchairs, dining chairs and headboards are all treated using the same fabric-appropriate methods. Curtains and mattresses use a similar extraction approach and are commonly booked alongside upholstery cleaning — ask when requesting a quote and we can often schedule them together in the same visit.
Drying typically takes 4–8 hours depending on fabric thickness and humidity, so we recommend booking when the furniture won't be needed the same evening. Removable covers can usually be treated more aggressively than fixed upholstery — let us know what you have when booking so we can plan the right approach.

It depends on the stain type and how long it’s been set. Fresh stains respond best, but many older stains lift substantially with deep extraction even if they don’t disappear completely — we’ll give you an honest assessment on-site rather than promising a guaranteed result sight-unseen.
We test on a small hidden area first for any fabric we haven’t worked with before, specifically to check for colour or texture changes before treating the visible surface.
