Pest Control

Fleas Control

Flea infestations usually start with a pet but spread quickly into carpets, soft furnishings and bedding, where eggs and larvae survive independently of the animal — which is why treating the pet alone rarely solves a household infestation on its own.

01

Why the Pet Isn’t the Whole Problem

A flea's life cycle spends far more time off the animal than on it — eggs fall into carpet fibres, floor cracks and bedding, where they can survive for weeks before hatching into biting adults. Treating only the cat or dog (a flea bath, spot treatment, or collar) deals with the fleas currently on the animal but leaves the eggs and larvae already in the environment to hatch and re-infest shortly after.

02

What Gets Treated

We treat carpets, rugs, floor cracks and skirting boards, pet bedding, and kennels or outdoor sleeping areas — anywhere a pet spends regular time. Soft furnishings the pet has access to (sofas, under-bed areas) get checked and treated where needed too.

03

Products Safe for Continued Pet Use

We use treatments that are effective against fleas at every life stage — eggs, larvae and adults — but safe for continued use in homes with cats and dogs once the treated areas have dried. You won't need to rehome pets or vacate the home for an extended period.

04

Pairing With Veterinary Treatment

We strongly recommend combining our environmental treatment with your vet's own flea treatment for the animal itself. The two together break the cycle far more reliably than either approach alone — our side clears the environment, the vet's side clears the animal, and neither re-infests the other.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long before it’s safe for my pet to be back in treated rooms?▾

Once the treated area has dried — typically a few hours — it’s safe for pets to resume normal use. We’ll confirm timing on the day.

Do I need to wash all the bedding myself first?▾

Washing pet bedding on a hot cycle beforehand helps, but isn’t required — we treat bedding directly as part of the service. If you’d rather wash it yourself first, that’s fine too.

Will one treatment fully clear an infestation?▾

Most infestations need the initial treatment plus attention to the flea life cycle over the following couple of weeks, since eggs already in the carpet can still hatch after treatment. Combined with your vet’s treatment for the pet, most households see it fully resolved within a few weeks.
